Japanese larch These larch were young seedlings when put together in this forest planting. The year was 1986 and the owner had "a little help from his friend" Jimmy Nakahara.

Cotoneaster This is a well traveled tree. It was a collected seedling, growing beneath a landscape shrub in 1980, in Tecumseh Michigan. Jack Wikle of Ann Arbor collected it along with several others. It was purchased from Jack by Pat Fellers of Toledo, Ohio. Pat moved to Kingston Washington a few years ago bringing the tree with her. The new owner resides in Spokane with this little wanderer.

Korean hornbeam This is a collected tree, collected in the mountains around Pusan Korea. It's probably forty to fifty years old. It was imported by John Muth at Bonsai Northwest five years ago

Pear This pear came from the collection of Ikune Sawada. He stared it in 1962 from a collected seedling.

Hawthorne This was a seedling collected 20 years ago in the owners yard. Its been in training eighteen years and has never bloomed. She waits and waits and waits, hopefully "one fine day"!!
