Japanese maple Here we have Beni Kawa, a variety of Japanese maple. These trees were two to three year old cuttings when they were planted in this forest 15 years ago.

Japanese black pine This was a rescued tree from a pretty sad nursery in the Bay area over fifteen years ago. While attending a Golden State Bonsai Convention Sharon Muth went nursery hopping and found this potentially good plant. It now resides quite happily at Bonsai Northwest. Its age is at least over twenty years.

Japanese white pine White pine grafted onto Black pine trunk, this is fine example of the many imports from Japan. This particular tree was imported by Bonsai Northwest in late 1990's. It was purchased from BNW in 1998.

Rhododendron Keleticum Over fifty years old, this casade was designed over 30 years ago.
