Puhutukawa A native of New Zealand, Puhtukawa is a Maori name for the Metrosideros Excelso which grows in the northern coastal area of NZ. It's called the Christmas tree for its bright powder puff flowers that bloom in the NZ Spring in December. It's fill growth is eighty feet tall and eighty feet wide. Another beauty from the family Myrtaceae.

Kingsville boxwood These are old trees, they were planted in this seikei by Timm Patterson over twenty years ago, and they were old then.

Hinoki cypress This is another Dr. Bert Bruenner tree which he started fifty five years ago. For many years it grew in his bonsai garden growing area behind the bonsai benches. Dan Robinson inherited this piece when it grew too unruly for Bert to handle. I'd call this a wonderful collaborated effort, yes?

Crabapple sp? This is a field grown tree, collected over 25years ago,

Cotoneaster microphylla In 1981 five small starts were planted on this rock.
