Pinus Contorta

Thanks for inviting me to PSBA. It has always been a pleasure to be in a beautiful city such as Seattle.

In the workshops I noticed everybody's small wires were tangled and bent. I carry my small wires by cutting them and putting them in PVC pipe. This eliminates this problem.

This is a Pinus contorta collected by Dan Robinson from Idaho. It is a very interesting tree. I selected it because of the trunk movement near the base.

Although interesting, this is a totally "crazy" tree, and I am trying to t figured out what to do with it at this time.

I start by eliminating the long straight branches that I know I won't need in the design of the tree.

I am making a jin with my knob cutter because I might use it as an anchor for my wire.
