Puget Sound Bonsai Association sponsors Study Groups of between 5 to 18 members who meet to work on their trees, study and learn from one another, hire teachers, make field trips together, and present shows on their bonsai. Each group decides its own programs and meeting schedules. PSBA sometimes reimburses these Study Groups for some of their start-up expenses.

Information is available to members in-good-standing at any PSBA regular meeting , so to find out if a group meets in your area or if a group that does meet in your area has room for another member, come to a PSBA meeting.

While Study groups start up costs are supported by the club, the groups operate largely independently of PSBA
