He especially enjoys working on collected specimens of Oak, Juniper and Boxwood.
Collecting from the wild as well as the neighborhood and maintaining a growing ground
for development of material yield a stream of interesting pre-bonsai for his avocation.
JT emphasizes the active "Doing of Bonsai," and incorporates the natural forms that exist
around us with the unique characteristics of the individual tree. He believes in touching
