Viewing Stone Group

Founded in 2006, this group promotes the appreciation and collecting of viewing stones, which are often displayed with bonsai. Prized for their shape, color and embedded image or pattern, these stones are called suiseki in Japan, scholar stones in China and viewing stones in the United States.

In addition to staging an annual exhibit, the group goes on summer and fall outings to collect stones, regularly displays new stones at PSBA meetings and educates members on how to evaluate and display stones. For more information about the group please contact us.
